Description

Homemade Chai Simple Syrup: Perfect for spicing up coffee, tea, pancakes, and more. Easy to make and packed with warm fall flavors!


Ingredients

Scale

1 cup brown sugar

3/4 cup granulated sugar

2 cups filtered water

1 inch piece of ginger

1 tbsp maple syrup

3 tsp cinnamon

2 tsp vanilla extract

2 tsp allspice

2 tsp clove

1.5 tsp cardamom

1 tsp nutmeg

1/2 tsp black pepper


Instructions

1. Combine all of the ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Let boil for 2 minutes.

2. Turn stove to low heat and let simmer for 10 additional minutes.

3. Let cool and store in a glass container. Use in your favorite coffee or even as maple syrup replacement!

Notes

If you’d like your syrup to be sweeter, add additional maple syrup.
